The heat is accelerating and the world is entering a critical new phase of the global climate crisis.
Groundbreaking research shows the need for viable solutions to bridge scientific insights with critical governance and cooling strategies.
To help stop the rise in global temperatures and bring them down to safe limits under 1°C, we held a climate dialogue that gathered over a hundred advocates. Along with analyzing the current track of rising global temperatures, we explored cooling methods and possible actions to address this crisis.
The one-hour program explored the following:

Global temperatures are now rising at an unprecedented rate, with projections pointing toward 1.7°C of warming as early as 2027. Two degrees is now likely during the 2030s.

How changes in the Earth system, particularly reduced planetary reflectivity, are contributing to accelerating warming.

The increasingly severe consequences expected as global temperatures continue to rise.

The cooling approaches being proposed and the role they could play in addressing the escalating crisis.

The potential role of a coalition of climate-vulnerable countries in leading and governing a comprehensive new plan of action to Cool, Reduce, and Remove.
